Safety Guidelines

The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) is committed to the safety of our participants, volunteers and staff and remains our top priority. All Walk4Hearing events will be held in keeping with CDC, state and local public health guidelines.

Participant and Vendor Recommendations:
  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 or wear a mask. We encourage all participants to physically distance and to wear a mask, especially if you are in a crowded area.
  • If you are sick or have any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and get tested.
  • Register online prior to arrival to avoid contact.
  • If you prefer, walk in your neighborhood.
  • Offline donations:
    • Attending the Walk - place cash/checks in an envelope with your name and team name and drop off at registration.
    • Not attending the Walk - contact us at walk4hearing@hearingloss.org to request the Walk treasurer’s mailing address.
Take Note:
  • Walk Day may look different to ensure physical distancing.
  • Hand sanitizers will be available at each tent.
  • Activities will be limited to reduce touch points and further the safety of participants, especially children under 5 who do not yet qualify for the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Refreshments will be provided as packaged items and bottled water.
