Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the Hearing Loss Association of America's  (HLAA)  Walk4Hearing! I am walking  as part of the Twin Cities Chapter of HLAA ( HLAA-TC) Team  which will receive a portion of all funds raised by the team. 

I've been a member of HLAA-TC for several years and currently serve on the Board.  I have found the Twin Cities Chapter to be a wonderful source of information and resources which have helped me, a person with severe and profound hearing loss, improve my quality of life and reduce frustration in social and other events. 

Walk4Hearing events raise funds for education, advocacy, and support for people with hearing loss. It’s a powerful community effort that breaks down barriers to hearing health and helps empower individuals with hearing loss across the country. Despite its widespread impact, hearing health is often overlooked, and the number of individuals affected is expected to double by 2050. HLAA's Walk4Hearing is dedicated to ensuring that every individual has access to the care and support they need to live confidently with hearing loss.
