I'm empowering people with hearing loss.
As you may know I am currently at Northwestern pursuing my Doctorate in Audiology and I am also a part of Northwestern’s student academy of audiology (SAA). Currently, we are participating in a fundraiser called Walk4Hearing. Walk4Hearing is a nationwide campaign put on by the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA). HLAA is the leading organization representing the growing number of Americans with hearing loss providing them with education, advocacy, and empowerment.
Northwestern SAA is teaming up with HLAA for the annual Walk4Hearing event to bring hope to people with hearing loss in their communities. 60% of our fundraising efforts will go directly to HLAA and 40% will go to Northwestern SAA. The funds toward Northwestern SAA will be utilized so that our chapter can reach the Northwestern/Evanston community to be an advocate for hearing, educate individuals on hearing, and provide resources for those in need. I have challenged myself to raise $300 before the walk on October 1st and I would be so grateful if you would be able to make a donation of any size to help me reach my goal! If you would like to donate or learn more information you can go to my donation page through this link:
I cannot wait to participate in the Walk4Hearing on October 1st and empower those with hearing loss!
