Hearing Loss Association of America’s (HLAA) Walk4Hearing is a nationwide campaign that brings hope to people with hearing loss in 20 cities, joining them in their communities to raise awareness and show support. Teams of family and friends join with HLAA Chapters and nonprofit business partners to raise funds for local programs and promote hearing health. HLAA is bringing attention to hearing loss as a growing public health crisis affecting one in seven Americans and an often-ignored part of overall health and wellness.
Jade has personally benefited from the work being done to increase awareness and to make accessibility the norm. Be it sitting in her classroom utilizing an FM system to ensure she doesn't miss out on understanding new subject matter because her instructors wear a microphone or sitting in a movie theater and wearing a headset to ensure she catches each and every punchline in the script, her hearing health matters and adds to her quality of life.
So join us as we walk for and with Jade to raise funds for hearing health and show support. Walk Day is an opportunity to meet others, join HLAA Chapters and connect with hearing care professionals and nonprofit partners committed to helping every person with hearing loss thrive.
Register to support my efforts and let's bring hope to hearing loss!
