A Joyous Day for People with Hearing Loss
September 17 will mark 16 years since the first NYC Walk4Hearing in 2008. What better place to celebrate than our original Walk location in bucolic Riverside Park, entrance at 83rd Street & Riverside Drive.
We’ve come a long way since our inaugural Walk. Thousands of people with hearing loss and their supporters have walked to increase awareness about the needs of our community and to raise funds to support HLAA’s local and national programs.
The NYC Chapter continues to present a rich array of monthly programs on relevant topics such as the latest news on hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive devices. This year, we included a program on the enjoyment of music and a captioned virtual Metropolitan Museum of Art tour. And, of course, we continue to educate and advocate to make New York City more accessible.
Please join and donate to our team even if you can't walk with us. You can also ask friends and family to donate to the Walk to help us reach our goal and build our community.
Hearing loss has its hurdles but contributing to programs that help us stay fully engaged in our lives will help each of us . . . and millions of others.

Thank you!
