Dear Friends and Family,
In late June, I traveled to a city that I love - New Orleans! - for Hearing Loss Association of America’s annual convention. Of all of the gifts that HLAA continues to add to my life - and there are so many - one that stands out is the opportunity to attend the convention’s open meeting of our Board of Directors. From a wide range of professional and ethnic backgrounds, our board members are as compassionate and caring as they are accomplished. They listen carefully, collaborate and plan clear strategic goals, and follow through with a sound sense of commitment.
Their work, interfaced with that of our Executive Director Barbara Kelley and a talented, hard working staff, ensures that the monies raised through the Walk4Hearing are spent making the world a better place for the millions of people who live with hearing loss. Programs, advocacy, public policy leadership and the grace that comes from close and caring friendships are the mix of ingredients that make this organization so special to me.
I hope you’ll consider contributing to my fundraising efforts for this year’s New England Walk4Hearing.
Thank you, as always for your support!
Peggy
