Please Sponsor Me for the Walk4Hearing
I have been helped so much by Hearing Loss Association of America that I want to give back to the organization. I've been volunteering with HLAA-Wake Chapter and the HLAA-North Carolina State Association for about 30 years. This is my 11th Walk4Hearing and I can't think of a better way to support HLAA than to help them raise funds for and awareness about hearing loss.
HLAA has given me the skills to deal effectively with my hearing loss and that's made all the difference.
I'll be walking with the HLAA Wake Chapter team in this year's Walk4Hearing. We need your support to make this event a success. Please take a moment to sponsor the Wake Chapter Team.
If you're looking for a worthy cause to meet your charitable goals, HLAA may be just the right opportunity. HLAA local and state-level chapters are all volunteers; the national organization has only a small paid staff, so you can be sure your donations will help improve things for people with hearing loss. Whether you join our Wake Chapter Team or just donate to support me, your total donation will support HLAA National and HLAA Wake Chapter. Donations to the Wake Chapter Team are the chapter's primary source of funding and are used to provide small scholarships to high school seniors with hearing loss to recognize their success and get them started on further education. Our chapter also supports other local organizations that support hearing loss, such as Sertoma, Beginnings, and a great one day outing for children with hearing loss organized by a local hearing clinic.
You can make a secure donation on-line by clicking on the "Donate" button or you can send a check made out to the Wake Chapter treasurer with a memo "Supporting Steve Barber on Wake Walk4Hearing" at:
