As you may know I have been challenged by progressive hearing loss for more than 20 years. Fortunately I have the ability to afford investment in technology that allows me to continue to communicate effectively. However, many of the estimated 48 million Americans with hearing loss do not have the resources to take advantage of technology and services that could improve their quality of life. Many more are not even aware that their communication challenges are related to hearing loss and how to access services that may help them cope.
I am contributing to the Pennsylvania Walk4Hearing on October 16, 2022 occurring in Philadelphia, PA (The Navy Yard). Please consider joining me to be part of a team of walkers to help raise funds for the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA). If you are not interested in walking and fundraising as part of this team then please consider an online donation by using the link below. Forty percent of the funds we raise go to the Chester County Chapter of HLAA. The remainder of the funds support the activities of the national organization. (www.hearingloss.org) Additionally, if you think you may have hearing loss, I would be glad to share my experience and/or connect you with programs and services of which I am aware. firstname.lastname@example.org - 484-319-1196 (text or voice)
