Stories that Inspire - Frank Pugliesi
Frank Pugliesi joined the New Jersey Walk when he learned about a Walk4Hearing hosted near his workplace. In college, he participated in philanthropic causes and wanted to continue to support causes close to his heart. He knew he had to register for the Walk due to a personal connection with hearing loss – he was diagnosed at three due to an ear infection.
In his four years of participation, his team Frank’s Mercadien SuperHEARoes!!, raised $7,500. As Team Captain, Frank emails his firm, where he serves as a Senior Internal Auditor, inviting them to join each year. Including his family, wife Megan, and son Francesco, Frank solidified his team with at least 20 teammates to walk with him on Walk Day. After his first Walk, Frank was motivated to join the Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality committee at work.
He is grateful for the impact the Walk has had on him in the last four years, growing his confidence to live well with hearing loss and to speak about it – he is proud of his accomplishments!
